ClearKit ("the extension") is a browsing-data cleaner that runs entirely inside your web browser. It has no account system and no backend server. This website (clearkit.xeviora.com) is a static marketing site: it sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no third-party scripts.

Data we collect

None. ClearKit does not collect, store on any server, transmit, share, or sell any personal data or browsing history. There is no sign-in, no analytics, and no telemetry. Everything the extension does — clearing data, searching and deleting history, running scheduled rules — happens locally on your own device. Your settings, auto-clean rules and the local event log (the last 200 clean runs) are stored in your browser via the standard extension storage and never leave your machine.

Permissions and why they are needed

browsingData
Performs the actual clearing you ask for (history, cache, cookies and other site data) via the browser's browsingData API. Your whitelist is enforced here so protected sites are skipped, and the reverse mode targets only the sites you list. It runs only on an explicit action by you, your keyboard shortcut, or a schedule you configured.
history
Powers the local history dashboard: searching and filtering entries, showing top-domain and browsing-heatmap statistics, and deleting history grouped by domain (including per-domain deletion when you clear the current site). History is read and deleted on your device only — nothing is uploaded or transmitted.
storage
Persists your settings, auto-clean rules and the local-only event log so they survive the service worker being recycled. All values stay in the browser's local extension storage.
alarms
Schedules your auto-clean rules on the cadence you set (every 15 minutes to 24 hours, or at browser startup). Used only for the extension's own local scheduling.
notifications
Shows a system notification when a clean finishes, so you get confirmation of a task you started. Notifications result from your own actions or your own scheduled rules.
activeTab
Reads the current tab's URL, only while the popup is open, so the "Clear this site" card can show and target the site's domain. Limited to the tab you are on at that moment; ClearKit does not request the broader tabs permission.

ClearKit requests no host permissions and does not use the cookies or scripting permissions — it never runs code on the pages you visit.

Remote code

ClearKit does not load or execute any remote code. All JavaScript and WebAssembly are bundled in the extension package.

This website

clearkit.xeviora.com is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It stores no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Your theme and language preference are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent anywhere. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address) to serve and protect the site; we do not add tracking on top of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. The current version is always published on this page.
